Now, this is where I disagree, in the lecture it says that not only herself but all users are held accountable for its demise. I do not see it as our fault as humans. From a religious point of view, humans were made to make mistakes, therefore it's a part of life. Whats important is how we react to each other's mistakes. So why are we pointing the blame? Why aren't we helping each other? Why continue to let the generation lose their touch of language? Why keep repeating the cycle?

Disagreement with Toni Morrison's Nobel Lecture
In the Toni Morrison Nobel Lecture, she states that language will eventually die out because of human's carelessness of it. I find that hard to believe. I get her overall message, she believes it is dying because as each generation passes less language is used. From reading this it seems that language is used as a symbol for our voice or opinion. "Our" being today's generation I am included in. For example, I believe that we do not value our freedom of free speech. I asked my friend if has he voted since he's turned 18 and his answer was a strong "No, "and neither have I. Maybe what she's saying is that we don't speak our minds enough today and we're ignorant to the fact that we have the right to say what we want and make a change.
