Question #1

Based on the articles, a very interesting scenario played out in my head when imagining both Morrison and Wallace eating dinner together. I imagine that Wallace would be the host, being that he attempts to be as thoughtful of others as he can. Morrison is most likely to start the conversation, but it is definitely not you're normal "how have things been?" type of small talk most people would ask at the start of a meal. Instead Morrison starts the conversation by eluding to a similar notion by telling a story. Wallace would than take a moment or two to maul over what he has been told, and instead of the normal response of "I've been good," he answers Morrison by telling her a parable about a young man whose life is going well. this is the type of conversation I imagine that these two people would have. It is very confusing and hard to follow if you are not able to see the deeper meaning behind every story. both of these authors seem to enjoy deep thinking. Based off of the start to both of their speeches being a parable or short story eludes to the fact that they could never have a conversation the way most people would imagine.
